Some television presenters focus solely on news oriented programs. Others prefer the song and dance genre or game shows. Since there are many different avenues that you could present in, it is important to build up a resume that shows that you have relevant experience in that field. Though some venues are more lenient for hiring new talent then others, television presenters in the news arena must have journalistic training and experience.

It’s important to build up your resume and you might find that the best way to begin working in your specific area as a tv presenter is by looking for outlets in your local community. Also, you don’t need to focus solely on television gigs. When you first begin working, there is plenty of radio work that can give you a great feel for the industry and introduce you to the art of presenting.
